1. Mental Health Providers

Job Description

Northeast Florida Community mental health agency has part-time and full-time openings for licensed mental health clinicians who are skilled and motivated to make a difference in people’s lives.

We are seeking clinicians trained in evidence-based approaches to clinical care who can provide individual and/or group counseling or counseling and psychotherapy to our clientele (and/or provide educational, psycho-educational, or psychological testing - if licensed as a psychologist) at either our Southside location in Jacksonville or our Orange Park location.

Our Florida-licensed facility is a fast-paced, energetic, and dynamic environment that employs clinicians with a passion for our mission centering on improving people’s lives. The agency offers onsite and telehealth individual and group counseling, intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for substance abuse, as well as psychological and psychiatric services (medication management) to an ethnically and culturally diverse population ranging from children to geriatric individuals. Our evidence-based approaches (i.e., CBT) and a collaborative, team-based environment make the agency a great place to practice your skills, help de-stigmatize mental illness, and empower clients and patients on their healing journey.

We are seeking both recently licensed and experienced therapists with a passion for delivering evidenced-based behavioral health services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete Mental Health Assessments and Individual Treatment Plans for all assigned individuals.
  • Provide individual, family, or group therapy to assigned clientele in order to achieve the goals outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Help individuals address issues associated with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; self-esteem; and aging.
  • Maintain timely and complete, accurate, and confidential clinical progress notes, treatment plans and files as required by licensure and accreditation standards.
  • Attend required staff meetings, agency meetings, supervision, and other meetings/events as requested.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development workshops and seminars as required by the organization and other governing bodies.
  • Prepare and submit reports and other documentation as required by agency leadership.

Qualification Requirements
Baccalaureate Degree from a regionally accredited college or university including or supplemented by one (1) course in psychological or educational tests and measurements and two (2) years of professional level work experience, or its part time equivalent, as a vocational evaluator which must have involved the assessment and evaluation of clients' vocational aptitudes, interests and skills.
Or
Master's Degree in vocational evaluation, vocational rehabilitation, special education, rehabilitation counselor education or psychology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university.

 


 

Non- Clinical Positions:

1. Community Outreach Specialist (P/T)

Job Description

Florida Counseling and Evaluation Services (FLCES) – a multi-specialty behavioral health agency – seeks a dynamic, community-minded self-starter to become part of our outreach and marketing team.

Under the oversight of the business manager, responsibilities include developing, implementing, evaluating, and refining of network and referral contacts.

The position involves active involvement in community outreach and marketing activities for the company’s three outpatient clinics in the greater Jacksonville area, including Orange Park.

The Outreach Coordinator will:

  • Create and implement outreach plans;
  • Create and implement marketing plans and outreach campaigns in collaboration with the business manager;
  • Attend relevant community meetings; participate in relevant councils, roundtables and committees;

  • Schedule and personally conduct at least 8 presentations a month;

  • Maintain relationships with collaborative partners and cultivate new ones;

  • Coordinate special events;

  • Promote in the community the products and services of the organization;

  • Develop and maintain a list of community resources and work collaboratively to coordinate with in-house and other referral sources;

  • Provide mental health screenings assistance, outreach, presentations, and tabling at community events.
     

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (i.e., communication, marketing) and a minimum two years’ demonstrated experience in successful community outreach and marketing;
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills;
  • Ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships;

  • Highly organized, analytical, IT-competent – proficient in Microsoft Office programs;

  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, time management, and organizational skills;

  • Ability to support, network, and motivate staff and others;

  • Ability to maintain confidential information;

  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines;

  • Clean driving record;

  • Must have own, reliable transportation;

  • Must pass drug and background checks;

  • Ability to work both independently and harmoniously with other staff members, willing to assist others when necessary, and have a sense of humor;

  • Must have an “outgoing personality.”


We are currently hiring for a PART-TIME position, but the position may evolve into a full-time slot.
